“Further, after the sense-perception skandha is gone, while being in the Samadhi with perfect clarity and without any mental distress, the good practitioner may give rise to a longing for the ultimate knowledge about the origin of all, so he begins investigating the nature of things and their changes from start to end. Fervidly, he analyzes everything thoroughly to refine his understanding.
“Seizing this long-awaited opportunity, a demon from the heavens will descend on someone to possess that person, using him as a mouthpiece to expound his own theories. Without realizing that he’s been possessed, that person will come to the whereabouts of the good practitioner who craves for knowledge of the origin, claiming that he has attained ultimate Nirvana, and setting up an altar to preach the demon’s methods. With a formidable power in his presence, he will subdue his audience into compliance even before he utters anything. Then he will say to them, ‘This physical body of mine is the Buddha’s Dharma-body, manifesting both Nirvana and Bodhi. This Dharma-body has been passed down from fathers to sons in perpetual succession. Where you are right now is the land of the Buddha; the pure dwellings and golden features are nowhere else to find.’
“Accepting his words faithfully, people forget about everything else; offering up their lives to him devotedly, they believe that they have obtained something unprecedented. They are all fooled into thinking that the demon-possessed person is a Bodhisattva. As they follow his lead, they break the Buddha’s precepts and engaging in all sorts of indulgence.
“The possessed person will ardently preach that the eyes, ears, nose, and tongue are the Pure Land, and that the male and female genital organs are the exact locus for attaining Bodhi and Nirvana. Ignorant people are swayed by such filth.
“This demon is a poison ghost or nightmare ghost who has turned into a demon in its old age to disturb practitioners. Once it has become weary of the game, it will abandon the person it possessed, and subsequently the followers and the ‘teacher’ will get into trouble with the law.
“You all should be vigilant about this and steer clear of the unfortunate cycle of transmigration; otherwise, if you become confused, you will fall into the Unrelenting Hell.”
又善男子，受阴虚妙，不遭邪虑，圆定发明，三摩地中，心爱根本，穷览物化性之终始，精爽其心，贪求辨析。尔时天魔 ，候得其便，飞精附人，口说经法。其人先不觉知魔着，亦言自得无上涅槃，来彼求元善男子处，敷座说法。身有威神，摧伏求者 ，令其座下，虽未闻法，自然心伏。是诸人等，将佛涅槃、菩提法身，即是现前我肉身上，父父子子递代相生，即是法身常住不绝 。都指现在即为佛国，无别净居及金色相。其人信受，亡失先心，身命归依，得未曾有。是等愚迷，惑为菩萨 ，推究其心，破佛律仪，潜行贪欲。口中好言，眼耳鼻舌皆为净土，男女二根即是菩提涅槃真处。彼无知者，信是秽言。此名蛊毒 、魇胜恶鬼，年老成魔，恼乱是人，厌足心生，去彼人体，弟子与师俱陷王难。汝当先觉，不入轮回；迷惑不知，堕无间狱。
