You’ve heard the expression: “When you love the house, you love the crows perching on it as well.” It means that your love for something often extends to everything about it.
Then something may happen – there is a change of heart, and love turns into dislike, and dislike grows into hatred. Where is the love now? It is the same with hate turning into love.
Therefore, don’t be overjoyed when someone loves you, and don’t be sorrowful when someone hates you. All are phantoms in a dream. All are flowers in the air – there is nothing inherently real.
